Schools Sustainability Expo

This annual event is free (including bus travel) for stage 3 students. Students attend ONE of the days and learn about the environment and sustainability through fun activities and presentations. Spaces are limited and offered via an Expression of Interest from the school. Contact Council’s Waste Initiatives Project Officer on 9840 9840 to register your interest for 2016.

Asbestos Information Night

Learn more about asbestos, where to find it in your home and how to safely remove and dispose less than 10 square metres. Each attendee receives a free asbestos removal kit valued at $100. Places are limited. Call 9840 9664 or 9840 9715 for more information.

Resuscitation and Pool Safety Seminar

What would you do in an emergency? Be water wise this summer and learn the basics in resuscitation and pool safety. Presented by the Royal Life Saving Society, this seminar is important for all pool owners and the community.

Electronic (e-waste) recycling

A majority of E-Waste is harmful to the environment because it is left untreated with non-biodegradable toxic substances in landfills. Drop-off days are scheduled four times throughout the year when local residents can take their electronic materials to the Council’s Depot. This service is for household e-waste only. No commercial e-waste accepted. For more information call 9840 9840.
